The Word Match Puzzle Tool<\/a> continues to grow with three new features designed to give you more flexibility when creating matching puzzles for puzzle books, classrooms, educational resources, and printable products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create 3-Way Matching Puzzles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Until now, matching puzzles were limited to two columns. With this update, you can now create 3-way matching puzzles that connect three related pieces of information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, you might create a puzzle where solvers match:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • An actor<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A character<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A movie<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    You could also create puzzles involving:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Countries, capitals, and continents<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Athletes, positions, and teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Authors, books, and genres<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Historical figures, accomplishments, and time periods<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      This feature opens the door to many new educational and trivia-based puzzle ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Match with Letters Instead of Lines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      We’ve also added the ability to use letters instead of lines when matching answers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Rather than drawing lines between matching items, solvers can identify the correct match by selecting the corresponding letter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      This creates a cleaner puzzle layout and can make puzzles easier to format, especially when working with longer clues or larger matching sets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Many puzzle creators also prefer this style because it reduces visual clutter on the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Letter Matching Works with Fill-in-the-Blank Puzzles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      The new letter matching option can be used with both traditional matching puzzles and fill-in-the-blank matching puzzles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      This creates opportunities for some very engaging puzzle formats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      For example, one column might contain song titles while the other contains lyrics. Solvers match each song title to the correct lyric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
