At A Book Creator, we’re always listening to what our community wants and one of the most common feature requests has been the ability to include a customizable hint page in cryptogram books.
We’re excited to announce that this feature is now live in the Cryptogram Puzzle Tool and it’s packed with flexible options to make your books more user-friendly and visually polished.

Here’s what you can now do:
🧩 Choose the Number of Hints
Select how many hints you’d like to include per puzzle.
📐 Set Columns from 1 to 5
Whether you want a clean single-column layout or a compact five-column format, you now have complete control over how your hints are arranged.
🖋 Customize Fonts and Sizes
You can now set the font and size of your hint text and title to match the design of your book or brand aesthetic.
📍 Control Title Positioning and Spacing
Select exactly where your title should appear on the page, add spacing between the title and hints, and adjust the spacing between each hint group.
Why This Matters
Adding hints makes your cryptogram puzzles more accessible and fun to solve—especially for beginners. With full control over layout and design, your books will not only stand out on platforms like Amazon KDP and Etsy, but they’ll also deliver a better experience to your readers.
This feature works beautifully in both printable and interactive PDF formats, including books made for Kindle Scribe, iPads, and other tablets.
